House Party

I want to share a great site with you called houseparty.com. You will receive amazing discounts and free stuff from brands you know and love. All you have to do is host a party with a few friends and family in your own home.

I just got word that I am hosting a Ford House Party. If you are not familiar with House Party you need to head on over and definately check it out!! I have been a member for several months and already hosted some great parties including Clariol, Sargento's, Splenda, and now Ford!!

A House Party™ is thousands of parties across the country, hosted by people like you. Each event is sponsored by a leading brand and focuses on something cool that the sponsor wants its best fans to experience firsthand and share with their friends.

Basically what you need to do is head on over and register. After you get registered, simply click on the View Events tab in the upper left, look over the parties that are available, click on the apply tab, and fill out a short survey. After you finish with the survey, remember to check your email. You will get a confirmation email from them, and you will need to click on the highlighted link that says "here" to verify and confirm you signed up. Do not forget to do that step.
Then all you do is sit back and wait, sometimes you'll get lucky, other times it may take a while, but all in all its a great way to learn about products, and the parties can be a blast!

An Update Well I didn't win the car, and what a beautiful car it was!! TriStar Ford of Mckeesport was kind enough to send over Tony and his wife and I took advantage of test driving that baby multiple times! It was overall a great party, however I was very disappointed in how they announced/picked the winner.

Hello All

I just want to take a minute or so to welcome you to my blog.

My name is Kelly, I am a married mother of 3 beautiful children. I love painting, reading, and anything that has to do with saving money and coupons!

I am going to be the first to tell you I am by far no pro at couponing, and I do not proclaim to know everything! Over the past several months, I have read many blogs, visit many forums and blogs daily, trying to learn as much as I can on how to get the best deals, and save as much as I possibly can!

What I did notice is most sites tend to make it a bit frustrating for newcomers like myself to learn anything. Forums are confusing and not all of them are very welcoming to anyone new. A lot of the blogs are absolutely excellent in telling you what's on sale where, and where to find the best coupons ect, but don't tend to help to much in learning how to do it all. What I also noticed
is they all tend to tell you about the same information, atleast the ones I visit! I am going to try and give as much new stuff as I can find on a daily basis, without constantly repeating what everyone else already told you.

Another thing I have learned while talking to many people locally, is there are a great deal of people who just don't get or don't understand how much you can really save with coupons, rebates and the like.

I am still trying to understand why people will not take the time to clip coupons, yes to save tons it is a very time consuming process, especially when you are new, but I have met more people that won't use a single coupon. I am here to try and change that and help those people to the best of my ability.

Please keep in mind, this blog will take me a bit of time to get off the ground, organized, and designed to my liking. Please also keep in mind that it may not be updated as frequently as other blogs as I do have a family and 3 children and they will come first. I will definately do it as much as time allows as I am greatly looking forward to helping all the new people out there.
